Leweston Biathle GB Series Race 2

Really great weather for a great days racing, although the breeze made it a little chilly. U13 Girls saw Amalie and Skaidra take on a large field of fast racing girls, with a very fast first 400m run, good swim from both followed by a strong second run saw Amalie finish 11th and Skaidra 18th. Next was Sam Boot U13 Boys another very fast first run with Sam about mid pack, good swim followed by another strong run and an amazing sprint for the line clinching 10th place. Great effort Sam. Next up Joe Van Ness & Archie Turner boys U15, very tough race with equally tough competition. Joe and Archie's first runs were very strong placing them both well for the swim. Both found swim tough but worked hard and equally hard on second run, seeing Joe cross the line in 8th and Archie 9th,well done. Ethan kicked off proceedings today in the first race, taking on the field of competitors from the gun and pushing him self right to the end Not his usual race strategy but it worked finishing 1st. Big congratulations to all of you and thanks to the parents for bringing you down to this great event
